Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Psalm 124:8
Rend your hearts and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger,and abounding in steadfast love; and he relents over disaster. Joel 2:13
To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against him and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God by walking in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets. Daniel 9:9–10
Correct me, O Lord, but in justice; not in your anger, lest you bring me to nothing. Jeremiah 10:24
I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired servants.” Luke 15:18–19
If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:8–9

With strings and pipe let every type of praise be heard!
Sound the loud clashing cymbals! Let your praise resound with cymbals
!Let everything that breathes praise God! Let heaven and earth praise God. Alleluia, sing alleluia!
Lift your voice in praise to God. Alleluia, sing alleluia!
Let everything that breathes praise God! Sing alleluia!
Congregation, please stand and join the choir in singing:
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!
O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation!
All ye who hear, now to His temple draw near, Join me in glad adoration!
Praise to the Lord, O let all that is in me adore Him!
All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before Him!
Let the Amen sound from His people again: Gladly forever adore Him!
Almighty and most merciful Father,
we have erred and strayed from Your ways like lost sheep,
we have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts,
we have offended against Your holy laws,
we have left undone those things which we ought to have done,
and we have done those things which we ought not to have done,
and so we are helpless without You.
O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders,
spare us, as we confess our faults,
restore us, as we are penitent, according to Your promises declared to us in Christ Jesus our Lord,
and grant, O most merciful Father, for His sake, that we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and devout life, to the glory of Your holy name. Amen.
All: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: for Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. (1 Peter 2:24-25)
Gloria Patri - Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: world without end. Amen.

Hymn: “How Sweet and Awesome is the Place” Hymnal #469
How sweet and awesome is the place with Christ within the doors,
While everlasting love displays the choicest of her stores.
While all our hearts and all our songs join to admire the feast,
Each of us cries, with thankful tongue, "Lord, why was I a guest?
"Why was I made to hear your voice, and enter while there's room,
When thousands make a wretched choice, and rather starve than come?"
'Twas the same love that spread the feast that sweetly drew us in;
Else we had still refused to taste, and perished in our sin.
Pity the nations, O our God, constrain the earth to come;
Send your victorious Word abroad, and bring the strangers home.
We long to see your churches full, that all the chosen race
May, with one voice and heart and soul, sing your redeeming grace.
Prayer of Invocation and the Lord’s Prayer
Prayer for Pardon - Psalm 32:3-7
All: For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Therefore, let everyone who is godly offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found; surely in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him. You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance.
Assurance of Grace - Colossians 2:13-15
Song of Rejoicing - "Gloria Patri" Hymnal #735
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be,
World without end. Amen. Amen.

Hymn of Preparation: “Open Now Thy Gates of Beauty” Hymnal #376
Open now thy gates of beauty,
Zion, let me enter there,
Where my soul in joyful duty
Waits for him who answers prayer.
Oh, how blessed is this place,
Filled with solace, light, and grace!
Lord, my God, I come before thee,
Come thou also unto me;
Where we find thee and adore thee,
There a heav'n on earth must be.
To my heart, O enter thou,
Let it be thy temple now!
Here thy praise is gladly chanted,
Here thy seed is duly sown;
Let my soul, where it is planted,
Bring forth precious sheaves alone,
So that all I hear may be
Fruitful unto life in me.
Thou my faith increase and quicken,
Let me keep thy gift divine,
Howsoe'er temptations thicken;
May thy Word still o'er me shine
As my guiding star through life,
As my comfort in my strife.
Speak, O God, and I will hear thee,
Let thy will be done indeed;
May I undisturbed draw near thee
While thou dost thy people feed.
Here of life the fountain flows,
Here is balm for all our woes.
Reading of Sermon Scripture: Luke 10:38-42
Sermon: “Mary and Martha” by Pastor M. Connor Underseth
Hymn of Preparation: "Here, O My Lord, I see Thee Face to Face" Hymnal #378
Here, O my Lord, I see thee face to face;
Here would I touch and handle things unseen,
Here grasp with firmer hand th'eternal grace,
And all my weariness upon thee lean.
Here would I feed upon the bread of God,
Here drink with thee the royal wine of heav'n;
Here would I lay aside each earthly load,
Here taste afresh the calm of sin forgiv'n.
This is the hour of banquet and of song;
This is the heav'nly table spread for me:
Here let me feast, and, feasting, still prolong
The brief, bright hour of fellowship with thee.
I have no help but thine, nor do I need
Another arm save thine to lean upon:
It is enough, my Lord, enough indeed;
My strength is in thy might, thy might alone.
Words of Institution - 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
Our Confession of Faith - “Nicene Creed” Hymnal#846
Minister: Christian, in whom do you believe?
All: I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
Andin one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of his Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made.
Who, for us and for our salvation, came down from heaven and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried; and the third day he rose again according to the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father; and he shall come again, with glory, to judge both the living and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end.
And I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of life; who proceeds from the Father and the Son; who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets.
And I believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church; I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; and I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
